If
you have ever used an electric dog fence, remote control options are
probably the thing that you enjoyed the most.
Most of these kinds of fences have remotes, but there are others
that do not have them. The advantage to having a remote is the fact
that the shock or correction that your dog receives can be changed
according to different criteria.
For example, if you have a small dog, it will be unnecessary to put
the remote on the highest setting. That much correction simply is
not needed for small dogs. However, if you have a larger dog, you
may want to do a higher setting.
A system without a remote would not allow you the opportunity to
do this. This could be damaging to your dog because it is likely that
the shock will be too much or too little. There are only a few dogs
that would be just right for the default setting.
Therefore, these remotes are certainly helpful. In addition they
are convenient. It is nice to be able to have a remote in your hands
to change settings instead of having to go to the fence itself each
time when changes need to be made.
